Magic Ale

The Taste: An American style pale ale which is deep gold in colour and has a soft bitterness to offset the hop flavours. The beer is well hopped to give tangerine, tropical fruit and grapefruit flavours with a hint of spiciness.

The Story:  Magic Ale celebrates 30 years operational service of E-3D Sentry with the Royal Air Force. Commonly known as AWAC (Airborne Warning and Control System), E-3D Sentry AEW Mk I is flown from RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire under the NATO tactical call-sign “Magic”.

Since entering service in 1991, E-3D Sentry has been operated by RAF Aircrew from 8, 23, 54 and 56 Squadrons. Throughout its history E-3D has seen active service abroad in multiple theatres including the Balkans, Middle East, Libya, Mediterranean, Caribbean and Afghanistan.
