Luckily came across this great beer when visiting Lincoln. As my dear Dad served as a Bomb Aimer in 49 from 1944-1945 I could not resist. A really cracking ale with loads of flavour. I always keep some in now.

An amazingly smooth ‘traditional’ bitter, full of character and one of the finest bitters I’ve ever tasted. If 49 Sqn was still around, I’m sure this would be downed in the mess by the barrel! Being ex RAF, its great to find a beer that raises it’s own glass in honour of those that flew in the RAF’s Bomber Command.

Found this on D Day at bomber command. We were celebrating the 80th anniversary. Very good beer to celebrate.

A ‘traditional’ bottled bitter is becoming more difficult to find….Found one, and an excellent one at that!
