Charity & Community
As a local business and local employer we are very conscious of our place in our local community and also the history of our local surrounds.
The aim has always been to provide local employment and to promote Lincolnshire’s produce and heritage. The original six beers that we produced were all named after things that were within a mile or so of the brewery.
This included 49 Squadron bitter that flew from Fiskerton airbase, Smokey Joe porter that celebrated the steam age for the rail line that ran from Lincoln to Boston just across the river from us and Witham Shield which celebrates the finding of the Iron Age shield half a mile from the brewery.
Early on we recognised that the aviation heritage of Lincolnshire was something we wanted to celebrate and support. We identified the restoration of Just Jane the Avro Lancaster based at East Kirkby Aviation Heritage Centre as a charity we wanted to help.
We launched the Just Jane Bitter in 2017 to support the restoration and from this we give 10p of every pint or bottle to the rebuild. Over the last four years FAB has donated over £5000 to the restoration project made possible by all the people who have bought Just jane. FAB is proud to support this project.
FAB is rooted in the wider community through our staff and customers and we are committed to supporting the community through local charities and good causes.
We support lots of different organisations throughout the year and last year we directly supported 20 different good causes and charities in Lincolnshire through gifts of prizes and other donations.
